Sun Valley Economic Development will have its first Community Roundtable under its new director on Thursday.

The topic will be “Cybersecurity Threats and Defenses.”

Admission is free for those who RSVP. It will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at the Limelight Hotel in Ketchum.

Cybersecurity has become a hot topic in the Wood River Valley with numerous businesses getting hacked or the focus of cyberattacks.

Thursday’s roundtable will feature cybersecurity expert Sin Ming Loo, an associate dean at Boise State University’s College of Innovation and Design. Loo will look at cybersecurity threats and offer tips for how to defend against cyberattacks.

The evening will include a chance for drinks and networking.
