The Easter eggs might be a little harder to spot this year since they won’t cover a carpet of snow.

The Easter Bunny can leave his snow boots behind and slip into his flip flops this Easter as he hops around Sun Valley Village hiding eggs.

Actually, the eggs will be in plain sight—it’s difficult to miss more than 8,000 eggs—as Sun Valley Resort hosts its annual Easter Egg Hunt.

The sweet tradition will start at 5 p.m. Friday, April 3, on the Duck Pond Lawn. Children will not only have an opportunity to dive in for a few eggs, but they also will have an opportunity to have their picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

Come Saturday, April 4, the family is invited to head to the River Run Plaza for an end-of-the-season party for the River Run side of Baldy. Memphis blues artist John Nemeth will be playing from 2 to 5 p.m. And costumes are encouraged.

On Sunday, April 5, DJ BearSkinRug will celebrate the final day of skiing and riding the River Run side of Bald Mountain, including the Seattle Ridge runs.

You can fuel up for the day of skiing and dancing with the Easter Brunch Buffet from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Sun Valley Club, which will include kid-friendly dishes and live music. Reservations are required at 208-622-2919 or dining@sunvalley.com.

Sun Valley Resort will close out its 90th winter season on Sunday April 12, with runs open on the Warm Springs side of Baldy through the week.

Idaho-born Shon Sanders and the Four Penny Peep Show will perform a mix inspired by soul, funk, jazz, blues and rock at the Baldy Bash at the base of Warm Springs from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 11. That band will be followed by Casio Dreams, the ultimate ‘80s tribute band, from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

Casio Dreams delivers a full-throttle’ 80s tribute experience packed with synth-pop, rock anthems, nostalgic sing-alongs and big hair vibes.

Phunk Shui will provide live reggae and funk grooves to a country twang and hip hop beat from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 12—Bald Mountain’s Closing Day.
