The Randimals’ teeny tiny Japanese fire truck, aka “Wee-Woo,” became part of the colorful scene at the annual Ketchum Wide Open this past week.

The tiny fire truck owned by the stuffed animals’ creator Nick Harman became Ketchum Mayor Pete Prekeges’ Pete Mobile for the day. It ferried him to all 12 goofy golf holes created at Ketchum restaurants and bars.

There he was mobbed and pulled into group photos in front of his new unofficial mayoral vehicle.

The day saw 116 teams or two golfing their way through Ketchum’s wacky one-time putt-putt holes.

The event raised $2,000 for the Blaine County Charitable Fund, which assists locals’ facing medical, rent and other emergencies. The rest of the money will help fund a “free rides home” program for those who have imbibed too much. The program has long been a dream of Prekeges, who took office in January.

“A good time was had by all. The weather was good and the turnout strong,” said Nick Harman. “And our production team at The Argyros was very happy as we won Best Hole for the fourth year running.”
