An advance screening of “Young Washington” is being offered to the public free of charge as part of the nationwide celebration of America’s 250th anniversary.
The Sun Valley Policy Forum is offering the Family Cinema Night at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, at The Argyros in Ketchum.
Though free, attendees are asked to register at https://themoviescreener.com/youngwashington/invite/450107518.
“Young Washington” is a 2026 America biographical war drama based on the early life of George Washington and his experiences in the French and Indian War.
William Franklyn-Miller stars as young Washington. Mary-louise Parker stars as his mother Mary Ball Washington; Kelsey Grammer, as Thomas Fairfax; Andy Serkis, as Gen. Edward Braddock, and Ben Kingsley, as Robert Dinwiddie.
The film premiered at the Tribeca Festival in June 2026 and will be released by Angel Studios on Fourth of July Eve. It was directed by Jon Erwin.
The screening is part of SVPF’s America 250 programming. It is taking place during SVPF’s Summer Institute: America 250—Celebrating Liberty.
“America’s 250th anniversary is an opportunity not only to reflect on our nation’s founding, but to introduce a new generation to the people, principles, and sacrifices that shaped it,” said Christina Culver, CEO of Sun Valley Policy Forum.
