The Comics Roots of Batman will be the subject of a talk by the editor of “Comics! The Magazine” on Wednesday, Aug. 12.
Joseph Keatinge will trace the evolution of Batman from his noir-inspired beginnings to the reinventions that shaped the Dark Knight across decades of storytelling. Keatinge oversees projects like the Darknet Diaries adaptations and the cyber-sci-fi series “The Future Is.” He writes for comic books and he designs video games.
The free talk will be offered at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the “Bright Knight” exhibit hosted by the Sun Valley Museum of Art and the family of the original Batman—Adam West—at Ketchum’s Forest Service Park.
The exhibition, which honors the legacy of West who lived in Ketchum for decades, runs through Aug. 14.
