Mick, we’re told, is back on stage this week after a doctor-ordered time off from prancing around with the Rolling Stones.

And Sun Valley fans will get an opportunity to hear such Rolling Stones favs as “Brown Sugar,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Gimme Shelter,” and “Honky Tonk Woman” when Tumbling Dice plays Ketch’Em Alive on Tuesday, June 25, in Ketchum’s Forest Service Park.

The Rolling Stones tribute will feature Johnny Valenzuela, Chip Booth and Paul Gregory, all who have been involved with concerts paying tribute to the Grateful Dead, Paul Floyd and others in past years. The opening act is Ken Ward and friends, who will kick things off at 7 p.m.

Other free concerts this week:

On Sunday, June 30, Warfield Distillery in Ketchum will present High Mountain Heard as part of its new free Summer Concert Series. The show starts at 7 p.m.

Also on Sunday, June 30, Jazz in the Park will feature the Frim Fram 4, a Boise group boasting vocals, piano, bass, guitar and drums. The group specializes in the classic tunes of the 1930s through the early ‘60s.

The concert runs from 6 to 8 p.m. in Ketchum’s Rotary Park on Warm Springs and Saddle roads.

They will be followed by Nicole Christen group on July 7, Darynn Dean from Los Angeles on July 14, the Mitchell-Gregory project on July 21 and the Idaho Falls Big Band, with up to 17 players, on July 28.

SNEAK PEEK:

Swagger, a longtime valley favorite from Salt Lake City, will perform their high-energy Irish rock at the July 2 Ketch’em Alive. Opening for them is Victoria Vox, a singer and ukulele player who graced the cover of “Ukulele” magazine.
