Mandy Pomeroy will become Blaine County’s next county administrator, taking over for Derek Voss who plans to retire April 17.

Blaine County Commissioners and an internal interview team interviewed many applicants, narrowing it to three before ultimately choosing Pomeroy for the position. Pomeroy is currently the administrative services manager for Blaine County and has been working with Voss during her five years in that position.

“Mandy will do a fabulous job, and this is a great opportunity for the county as we will be able to continue to grow as we did under administrator Voss," said Commissioner Angenie McCleary.

Pomeroy received an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix and Best in Class Award for HR Management from Gallagher Benefit Services. She has experience in public administration, human resource and grant management, strategic planning and leadership development. And she has extensive knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations.

She moved to the Wood River Valley from Boise about five years ago when her husband Chris Pomeroy became manager of Friedman Memorial Airport.
