Meet some of the nonprofits in the Wood River Valley and learn about their response to the coronavirus pandemic when the Spur Community Foundation presents three livestreamed discussions beginning tonight—Wednesday, March 3.

The Spur Community Foundation has teamed up with the Argyros Center for the Performing Arts and Dark to Light Productions to present the Wood River Valley Nonprofit Roundtable Discussion Series.

Each will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesdays through March 17, livestreamed from the Tierney Theater at The Argyros.

  • Tonight, the discussion will focus on the Arts. It will feature panelists Kristin Poole, artistic director of the Sun Valley Museum of Art; Derek Dean, executive director of the Sun Valley Music Festival, and Casey Wilder Mott, executive director of The Argyros.

  • On March 10 the discussion will center around Education. There will be representatives from Blaine County Education Foundation, The Space, I Have a Dream Foundation, Blaine County Recreation District and the Wood River Community YMCA.

  • On March 17 the focus will be on Human Services. Panelists will include representatives of the Blaine County Charitable Fund, The Advocates, The Senior Connection, NAMI, Crisis Hotline, The Alliance of Idaho, The Hunger Coalition and Mountain Humane.
