Sun Valley Nordic Center will hold a Spring Fling on Saturday, March 13.

The low-key fun race hosted by the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation and Sun Valley Nordic Center starts at 10 a.m.

There’ll be waves of 10 skiers to encourage social distancing. Face coverings will be required prior to the start and after the finish.

Prizes will be supplied by Backwoods Mountain Sports and The Elephants Perch for those Under 50 and those Over 50, as well as for youth.

Skiers can choose to ski the 5-kilometer Trail Creek Loop or a 12-kilometer loop involving Proctor, Sidewinder and Trail Creek trails. There will also be a 2.5-kilometer loop for U12 and under.

Registration will be held from 9 to 9:30 p.m. outside the Sun Valley Nordic Center. Cost is $20 for adults and includes the Nordic trail pass or $10 for SVSEF youth.
