The forecast is for rain mixed with snow. But that won’t stop golfers from flocking to the tees.

Sun Valley Resort will open its alpine links-style nine-hole White Clouds Course and the Back 9 at Elkhorn Golf Club on Saturday.

You can practice your swing from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at the driving range and the 18-hole Sawtooth Putting Course at Trail Creek in preparation for their openings. The Pro Shop at the Sun Valley Clubhouse is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Call 208-622-2251 for more information.

You can book your tee time at https://www.sunvalley.com/things-to-do/golf/

The resumption of golf follows a successful safe 2020-21 ski season on Bald and Dollar mountains.

This summer will see the resumption of the Sun Valley on Ice shows beginning July 3 and running Saturday nights through Labor Day. Also, the return of lift-accessed mountain biking on Bald Mountain.
