Plein air painters will take to the woods and to the gardens when Kneeland Gallery holds its 30th annual Plein Air Exhibition this week.
Kneeland’s group of plein air painters will be out and about painting on Wednesday and Thursday. Then they will show their finished work Friday—the paint still drying, in some cases—at Kneeland Gallery during the Sun Valley Gallery Association’s first Gallery Walk since the pandemic closed things down in March 2020.
The Gallery Walk runs from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6.
In addition, Silas Thompson will offer a Plein Air painting workshop Monday, Aug. 2, and Tuesday, Aug. 3. To sign up, contact the gallery at 208-726-5512.
John Horejs will offer a free painting demonstration at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6
Participating artists this year are Steven Lee Adams, Ovanes Berberian, Jack Braman, John Horejs, Shanna Kunz, Lori McNee, Robert Moore, Silas Thompson and Bart Walker.
They will paint at the Sawtooth Botanical Gardens from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4. On Thursday, Aug. 5, they will paint at Trail Creek Cabin.
