The community is invited to meet the new executive director of the Sun Valley Museum of Art from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 8, at The Museum in Ketchum.

Jennifer Wells Green will be available to meet with the public from 5 to 6 p.m. Andrea Laporte, the SVMoA board chair, will make a few remarks at 6 p.m.

The meet and greet will be held during Friday’s Gallery Walk, which features SVMoA’s new BIG IDEA exhibition “Gardens: Collaborations with Nature.”

Green comes to SVMOA from the UCLA School of Arts and Architecture where she was executive director of Development. Before that she spent 14 years at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles where she led strategic fundraising, board development, donor engagement and special projects to reimagine and build the museum.

She has a degree in art history from Brown University and an undergraduate degree from Scripps College. She also has worked at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, the Museum of Modern Art in New York and as curator of the PaineWebber Art Collection.
