As Karen Carpenter would sing, it seems like “We’ve Only Just Begun.”

Ketchum’s last Jazz in the Park will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 28, in Ketchum’s Rotary Park at Warm Springs and Saddle roads.

This one will feature Nicole Christensen and her Boise band, who could very well be escaping the falling ash from Oregon fires in Boise come Sunday. Christensen and her band have played Jazz in the Park for several years and have become a valley favorite, according to organizer Will Caldwell.

Christensen, who lives in Eagle, performs jazz standards. She has sung at weddings, special events and even at Chandler’s Restaurant—once a staple in the Sun Valley area.

The concert is free. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnics and low back chairs.
