Kindercup Crowns Its Winners

Sunday’s Kindercup was full of precious moments.

Some youngsters were a-raring to point their skis down the race course. Others clung to the volunteers who lined them up in the order they were supposed to race.

“It was a blast!” said Kindercup volunteer Joyce Fabre.

Fabre had to hang onto some pint-sized racers so they didn’t end up schussing away before their time. She had to untangle others as they piled up in the waiting line.

“We had some very determined skiers,” she said. “And we had some very excited skiers. One little girl told me, ‘Watch me! Watch me!’ ”

When the poofs of snow stirred up by the final hockey stop had settled, these were the three girls and boys who came out on top in each age category:
