The town of Shoshone, 55 miles south of Sun Valley, was once the hub of South-Central Idaho. Even President Harry S Truman once spoke from the balcony of the McFall Hotel, which lay a stone’s throw from the railroad depot.

But, then, business shifted southward, and today Shoshone has just 1,770 residents, many of whom work in nearby Twin Falls or the Wood River Valley. Learn more in today’s Eye on Sun Valley historical video featuring John W. Lundin.
