Sun Valley’s Trademark Ice Sculpture-Behind the Scenes

Sunday, January 3, 2021

When Sun Valley’s groundskeepers removed the wooden structures containing the blocks of ice, the temperature was in the 40s—so warm that Mark Robert Sheehan and his son Sean couldn’t get started building the iconic Sun Valley ice sculpture in front of the Sun Valley Lodge.

Eye on Sun Valley’s Karen Bossick takes you to Sun Valley resort as the two turn blocks of ice into Sun Valley’s iconic sun in today’s video.
