Did you know that the word for ‘child’ in German is Kinder? The Kindercup is a children’s ski event that happens annually at Sun Valley’s Dollar Mountain ski area. This is a ski racing event for children of all ages, and costumes add to the preciousness of the event.
The event is put on by the Papoose Club, which was started in the 1950’s by mothers who needed a place for their children to be watched while they went skiing. And the fun little race they started has become a rite of passage for myriads of Sun Valley youth.
