Mike’s River Rock Art to be on the Artist Studio Tour

Tuesday, August 13, 2024

Mike Baldwin was lured to Sun Valley to ski and teach skiing. But he quickly established another niche for himself, turning river rock into art. Recently, he’s repurposed roofing from a century-old barn in the Wood River Valley to create yard art alongside the shiny flower pots he makes out of rock and the suns  he makes from copper, brass and steel.

Baldwin will be among 40 artists taking part in the free 2024 Artist Studio Tour of the Wood River Valley, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Aug. 23 and 24. To learn about how you can visit the artists in their studios, go to https://artiststudiotour.com/.
