It’s not your grandmother’s dodge ball.
Saturday’s Dodgeball Tournament to benefit Sage School was fast-paced and full of rules not seen on a playground as players tried to pick off opponents.
The Campion Ice House was full of teams dressed in scrubs, chicken outfits and shorts that would make ugly Christmas sweaters look good enough to wear to a formal dinner party.
And, in the end, it was all for a good cause—that of the private school located near Friedman Memorial Airport. The school led by Harry Weekes is centered on human ecology and engaging experiences, such as a trip to Ecuador, as part of a grand design of instilling community responsibility and a sense of place in students.
