More than 120 Special Olympians converged on Sun Valley’s alpine slopes and Nordic trails this past week in a show of what the human potential is capable of.
After a Mexican feast and dance the night before the Special Olympians from around the region, including Hailey, Burley, Pocatello and Rexburg gave it their all.
The Idaho Special Olympics Eastern and Southwest Winter Regional Games was hosted by Higher Ground Sun Valley. Athletes competed in slalom, giant slalom, snowboarding, skate skiing, classic cross country and snowshoe races.
