Meet the Fireweed and Other Colorful Wildflowers

Monday, July 27, 2020

The pink-purple spikes of fireweed are taking their bow along trails throughout the mountains surrounding Sun Valley. And it may come in handy should you ever need a plant to aid in inflammation, fevers, and wounds. And, as Sara Berquist reminds us, when fireweed turns to cotton summer is soon forgotten.

Join Eye on Sun Valley’s Karen Bossick and Lisa Native of the Idaho Native Plant Society to learn more about this and other wildflowers currently providing show-stopping foliage.
