The Pegram Truss railroad bridge, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, was constructed in 1894 before being disassembled in 1914 and relocated over the Big Wood River north of St. Luke’s hospital. It served the Union Pacific Railroad from 1936 to 1981 as the railroad brought skiers on luxury trains to Sun Valley.
