Students and their parents are invited to attend Blaine County Education Foundation’s 4th Annual Scholarship Fair on Thursday, Feb. 6.
The fair, sponsored by Cox Communications, will be held from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in the Wood River High School Commons.
Representatives from organizations offering more than 40 scholarships will be on hand to talk to families about scholarship criteria. Students may also register for a chance to win a $500 scholarship.
“Determining next steps after high school can be intimidating,” said Deb Van Law, the executive director of Blaine County Education Foundation. “The intent of the Fair is to expose high school seniors and their supporters to the many local scholarships available for graduating students in Blaine County pursuing post-secondary education.”
The nonprofit Blaine County Education Fund raises funds for students in Blaine County Schools to make it possible for them to do such things as attend robotics meets and buy football jerseys to play football. The organization relies on grants and donations.
