Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation alum Haley Cutler punched her ticket to the World Cup with a podium finish in the Nor Am Cup at Panorama Ski Resort in British Columbia this past week
Cutler, who started the NorAm Cup with a downhill win at Copper Mountain, had five top five finishes during the season, before heading into the downhill finals at the NorAm Finals in rain. She took third behind Allison Mollin and Cassidy Gray.
All this despite rehabbing a knee injury.
Cutler, a Wood River Valley native who competed at the recent 2024 U.S. Alpine Championships in Sun Valley, can be found not only on the ski slopes but she has coached for SVSEF and waited tables at Michel’s Christiania.
Cutler told a reporter for Ski Racing Media that she was at a loss for words about the World Cup spot.
“To see this goal come to life had me cry tears of joy. I have already been thinking about my summer and fall preparations for the 24/25 World cup season, and the drive I have has to be my absolute best self/athlete. Feeling stronger than ever, and I cannot wait.”
KUDOS TO CALLIE, TOO!
Also meeting with recent success is snowboarder Callie Allen, who won a national championship for 15- and 16-yearold women at the USSA Snowboard National Championships Halfpipe competition in Copper, Mountain Colo. She also placed third in slopestyle.
