Siobhan Jameson, assistant nurse manager of Surgical Services at St. Luke’s Wood River, has received the 2025 Excellence in Leadership award from St. Luke’s Health System based in Boise.

The award honors the clinical and non-clinical leaders who exemplify St. Luke’s ICARE values and Always Behaviors while empowering and engaging their teams.

Jameson was honored this past month at the Caring Heart Awards ceremony in Boise, joining other team members recognized from the 18,000 employees that work in St. Luke’s Health System.

Other awards handed out recognized The Spirit of St. Luke's, Excellence in Patient Care, Excellence in Service, Provider Excellence and Excellence in Teamwork.

Jameson was nominated by Etta Wood, manager of Perioperative Services at St. Luke’s Wood River.

“Siobhan leads with heart,” Wood said. “She arrives early to set up her team for success, advocates for their well-being, and listens deeply to their needs. Her compassion is felt in every corner of the department.”

In her first year of leadership, Jameson faced challenges head-on, using feedback to strengthen team relationships and dramatically improve engagement scores.

“She didn’t shy away from tough conversations,” Wood said. “She leaned in, took ownership, and built trust. That’s integrity in action.”

Jameson’s leadership has also driven innovation and excellence. She spearheaded the launch of a new robotics program at St. Luke’s Wood River, which required months of planning, coordination across multiple service lines and significant operational changes.

She adjusted block schedules and updated policies to train clinical teams and coordinate. And her hands-on approach ensured that staff, surgeons, and vendors were aligned and prepared. The program not only expanded surgical capabilities but also enhanced patient care and access to advanced procedures in the Wood River Valley.

A vendor praised the site as the most prepared new venue they had ever onboarded.

This is not the first time Jameson has been recognized for her excellence. In 2021 she received a Nursing Excellence Award for Structural Empowerment from St. Luke’s Health System. And in 2018, she received the Carl A. Gray Memorial Award for Nursing Excellence presented by the St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation and the Harvey Gray Family.

At that time, she was honored for her outstanding patient care from pre-op through recovery, her tireless work ethic and her ability to make patients and surgeons feel supported.

“She is highly regarded for her nursing skills, work ethic and compassionate care,” said Megan Tanous, Chief Development Officer of the Foundation. “I can’t believe how lucky we are to have her,” a colleague added.
