The Killebrew-Thompson Memorial has gifted $675,000 to St. Luke’s Cancer Institute.

The Wood River nonprofit raised $1.35 million during its 2025 golf tournament, gala and concert in Sun Valley. The Killebrew-Thompson Memorial has contributed nearly $26 million to St. Luke’s Cancer Center and the Masonic Cancer Center at the University of Minnesota since its inception 49 years ago in 1977.

It is the largest annual donor to St. Luke’s Cancer Institute, helping to advance cancer research and expand patient care.

“Having another year of record engagement as we head into our 50th anniversary is incredibly meaningful,” said Hannah Stauts, executive director of the Killebrew-Thompson Memorial. “This contribution will help our beneficiaries expand their research and clinical trial programs, which are essential in bringing hope and better outcomes to cancer patients.”

The Killebrew-Thompson Memorial is one of the leading fundraisers for cancer research. It takes place over three days with a golf tournament, Idaho Welcome BBQ, auction gala and a Concert for a Cure held at the Sun Valley Pavilion.

St. Luke’s Cancer Institute is the region’s largest provider of cancer services, providing advanced care to patients through clinics in Twin Falls, Boise, Fruitland, Meridian and Nampa. A nationally recognized leader in cancer research, it is also Idaho’s only cancer treatment center for children, its only federally sponsored center for hemophilia and its only blood and marrow transplant program.

The Killebrew-Thompson Memorial’s Golden Anniversary will be held Aug. 20-22 in Sun Valley. For information, visit https://www.ktmgolf.com/.
