Grammy Award-winning trumpeter Chris Botti will headline the 2018 Gala Concert of the Sun Valley Summer Symphony.
Botti will bring his jazz renderings to the Sun Valley Pavilion on Monday, Aug. 6, as he joins the Sun Valley Summer Symphony on stage.
Botti has become the best-selling instrumental jazz artist in the world since the release of his 2004 album “When I Fall in Love” in 2004. He has been nominated for five Grammy Awards, with his latest album “Impressions” winning the 2013 Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental Album.
Botti’s stop in Sun Valley is part of the artist’s current world tour, which is taking him to Melbourne, Hong Kong and Seoul.
Tickets, which go on sale at 9 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time on April 4 range from $75 to $1,000. The $1,000 gala sponsor tickets and $500 and $250 tickets include a pre-concert cocktail reception. Gala sponsor tickets also include personal concierge services and a post-concert dinner with an opportunity to meet Botti.
The concert will be broadcast live on the Pavilion lawn’s 25-foot LED screen. General admission lawn tickets are $75.
Funds raised from the event will support the Sun Valley Symphony’s free concerts, which attract more than 50,000 people each summer, as well as its musical education outreach to more than 800 music students each year.
