The woman who played Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in the HBO film “Grey Gardens” will talk about her role in that and other films during one of the Sun Valley Film Festival’s Coffee Talks on March 16.
And the Sun Valley Film Festival will shut down Main Street for a Main Street Salute to Warren Miller on Thursday, March 15.
Tripplehorn completes this year’s Coffee Talk triumvirate, which also includes actress Gwyneth Paltrow and filmmaker Jay Duplass.
This year’s Coffee Talks, open on a first come, first serve basis, will be held at the Sun Valley Opera House.
Tripplehorn has starred in “Basic Instinct,” “Waterworld,” “The Firm” and “Sliding Doors” and will next be seen in the film “Little Pink House” with Catherine Keener and “Gloria” with Julianne Moore. She also portrays Barb Henrickson on HBO’s “Big Love.”
She received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for her performance as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.
The salute to Warren Miller, the legendary filmmaker who got his start in Sun Valley, will include music, fire pits and a screening of Miller’s “Many Moods of Skiing” in the Ford Cinetransformer.
Partygoers are invited to don their best vintage ski suit for a costume contest that boasts such prizes as a special edition snowboard from Tito’s Handmade Vodka and a Stella Artois bicycle.
