The Big Hitch Parade may be over but there’s plenty more to do today.
- The Papoose Club Pancake breakfast continues from 8 a.m. to noon at Ketchum Town Square, with proceeds going towards youth organizations in the valley.
- Twelve hundred mountain bikers from all over the United States will leave Ketchum at 8 this morning to test themselves on 50 and 100 miles of backcountry road atop Trail Creek Summit in Rebecca’s Private Idaho.
The public is invited to celebrate the end of the race with cyclists at Festival Meadow on sun Valley Road. From 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The Emily Stanton Band will perform from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Awards will be handed out at 5 p.m. And there’ll be a Gelande Quaffing competition at 6 p.m.
- The Silver Car Auction continues today at Sun Valley Resort.
Among the very special cars you may see is a 1959 Ski Patrol van, an Indy 500 pace car, a sheep wagon and even a carousel horse.
- There will be music from 1 to 6 p.m. today at Bellevue Memorial Park as the town launches the first of a two-day Labor Day Celebration. The music will be followed by more music on Monday following the town’s 94th Labor Day Parade at noon.
