Consider it the first summer concert of the season.
Mahoney’s Bar & Grill in Bellevue will present a special concert featuring Sergio and the Cremonatones at 6 tonight—Saturday, May 18.
The family-friendly concert is free.
The band features Joel Kaserman and Sergio Webb, who have played off and on together for more than 30 years in various bands, including Idaho’s Pinto Bennett and his Famous Motel Cowboys. They will be joined by Rob Matson, who recently moved back to Idaho after decades in Nashville where he was a prominent recording engineer and guitarist.
Guitar virtuoso Webb, who has released six records on his Telecaster nicknamed Preciosa, first came to Idaho in 1975 with Kip Attaway and made Idaho his home for many years before moving to Nashville where he works as a session artist, recording with such songwriters as Gail Davies, David Olney, Richard Dobson. As a touring guitarist, he has played in all 50 states, Canada, Europe, Scandinavia and Australia.
Kaserman lives in Boise where he was in the bluegrass band Loose Ties and is an in-demand guitar, banjo, and mandolin player.
