The month of October so far is the coldest on record in Ketchum and Challis with a week of below-normal temperatures in the forecast, according to Hailey Librarian Kristin Fletcher and her meteorologist friend Alex deSmet.
What a good excuse to stock up on some good books to read by the fireplace at the Friends of the Hailey Public Library’s 33rd Used Book & Bake Sale!
The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today—Friday, Oct. 25--and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. The bag sale—a chance to buy a grocery bag’s worth of books, DVDs, CDs and books on tape for $7—is on Saturday.
The sale is being held in the Queen of the Hills Room at the Community Campus in Hailey. There will be scrumptious treats, in addition to books and tapes.
Funds raised from the sale are used to augment library services, technology upgrades and adult and kid’s programs.
