Dancing at the Grange kicks off for the winter season tonight.
A caller and the live band Strings Attached will lead dancers through the steps from 7 to 9:15 tonight—Saturday, Nov. 9--at the Grange Hall, 609 South 3rd Avenue in Hailey.
An optional potluck will begin at 5:30 p.m.
The event is open to the entire family and singles. All the steps will be taught and no partner is necessary as the dance is about meeting new friends, socializing and dancing.
Admission is $15 for adults, $20 for families, $10 for teens and for Grange members. It’s free for children.
Those who wish to become Grange members can pay an annual fee of $28 and admission to the dance will be waived.
Wear shoes that will not mark the floor.

The Grange Hall, built in 1924, offers an equipped kitchen with tables and chairs for meetings and receptions. It houses the Wood River Seed library’s seed bank and seed vault and provides a studio for Footlight Dance and Tai Chi classes. Grange members give out scholarships to high school seniors and they support 4-H, Cub Scouts, Trailing of the Sheep and other nonprofits.
