It’s Sun Valley Resort’s Christmas gift to the community and all its guests.
And the annual Skating in a Winter Wonderland Ice Show takes place tonight.
U.S. Gold Medalist Ryan Bradley, known for his backflips, will headline the annual Christmas Eve show, which starts at 5:30 p.m. He will be joined by Ashley Clark, a three-time U.S. Gold Medalist who electrifies audiences with her fire and ice shows.
The two will be joined by “Frozen’s” Olaf, known as the friendliest snowman in the world and a pretty darn good skater in his own right.
Sun Valley Figure Skating club members and holiday guests will perform amidst Christmas carols sung by the Sun Valley Carolers. And Sun Valley ski instructors will swoop down Dollar Mountain in their annual torchlight parade, a tradition that started in the United States right here in Sun Valley.
Lastly--ho, ho, ho—Santa Claus, who knows who’s been naughty or nice, also is very aware that Sun Valley Resort made Travel+Leisure’s list of the most magical resorts at Christmastime. So, he has penciled in a visit to the resort right smack dab in the middle of his busy delivery schedule.
The gates open at 3 p.m. for those who just can’t wait. Free cocoa and cookies will be served beginning at 5 p.m.
