Party Animal Vodka has established a fundraising campaign to address the needs of those in Sun Valley’s service industry.
Owners Josh Hanson and Katherine Cullen, who live in the Wood River Valley and distill their vodka made from Idaho russet potatoes in eastern Idaho, have launched a GoFundMe campaign to take care of servers who have been laid off due to the coronavirus.
Unemployment income for the service industry can be lower for those in the service industry because it does not account for tips, they noted.
“Party Animal Vodka wouldn’t be anything without the support this community has given to us,” said Cullen. “We’re extremely thankful to all in the valley and are hoping to repay the love during this trying time.”
One hundred percent of the funds raised will be given to those who work in the Wood River Valley’s service industry, Cullen said. Only those in need with no other source of significant or livable wage will receive funds. Funds will be distributed to those who reach out via their managers.
Managers are asked to email Josh Hanson at jhanson@partyanimalvodka.com by 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25.
