The Wood River Farmers Market is switching things up at its Ketchum market.
The market is moving the online order pickup to 5 to 6 p.m. at the lower River Run parking lot at the bottom of Bald Mountain. Walk-in market hours will be moved and expanded to the hours between 2 and 4:45 p.m. beginning Tuesday, June 23.
The Farmers Market got between 85 and 95 online orders each of the first two weeks, said Stacy Whitman, co-director of the Local Food Alliance. The market got more than 300 walk-ins, additionally, said Sheila Plowman, the market manager.
“We feel our numbers have been good considering COVID,” she added. “I guess our sales were down from last year, but we always have a slow start in June and then it ramps up!”
The market has about 25 vendors. Shoppers have remarked how well organized and safe it is.
Online ordering for each Tuesday’s market is held at wrfarmersmarket@gmail.com from Friday through noon Sunday before the Tuesday pickup.
