Luke’s Pharmacy is selling surgical masks this week to raise funds for NAMI-Wood River Valley.
The pharmacy also is partnering with NAMI-WRV to raise awareness of mental wellness practices in Blaine County.
“I’m very concerned for the mental health of our community as this pandemic continues to have profound effects on our lives,” said Luke Snell, owner of Luke’s Family Pharmacy in Hailey. “It’s important for our community to know that we have a great resource in NAMI for mental wellness and free support groups for families, adults and teens faced with mental health challenges during these trying times.”
The masks are surgical ear loop masks available in blue, black, pink and white colors in both adult and kid sizes. Each costs $1 and 100 percent of profits will be donated to NAMI-WRV.
“We are most gracious for this donation and community partnership,” said Christina Cernansky, executive director of NAMI-WRV. “Shedding the shame and stigma associated with getting help from peers can be difficult. We are thrilled Luke’s can help promote the dozens of support groups we host on a monthly basis to help individuals and families before they might be in crisis.”
Luke’s will sell the masks from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Friday, July 3, at 101 S. Main St. in Hailey.
