The Sun Valley Writers Conference will partner with The Community Library in Ketchum to host a 2021 Summer Speaker Series.
The series will consist of four outdoor evening author talks throughout summer months with a book signing after each one.
Admission will be free, but registration will be required. Details about speakers, dates and locations will be announced later.
“We are thrilled about this new partnership with The Community Library and to be able to bring several exceptional authors to Sun Valley over the course of the summer,” says SVWC Literary Director John Burnham Schwartz. “We hope that many local residents will join us for inspiring presentations by some of the very best writers at work today.”
Later this spring, the Conference plans to announce plans for either a virtual or in-person conference to be held July 17-20, 2021. It will be subject to health and safety protocols.
The Sun Valley Writers Conference has brought 50 Pulitzer Prize winners, 22 National Book Award winners and six winners of the elite Mann Booker Prize given in Great Britain to Sun Valley over the years. Audiences enjoy talks and musical performances in the Sun Valley Pavilion, as well as smaller more intimate sessions with speakers and films.
