Mountain Humane is reopening its animal campus to visitors beginning Tuesday, June 1.
Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
- Adoptions by Appointment, which was implemented during COVID, will continue, offering would-be adopters a one-on-one consultation with an adoption counselor to find the best fit for their family. To arrange an appointment, call 208-788-4351.
- Hikin’ Buddies will resume on Wednesdays starting June 9 and running through July 14. Mountain Humane staff will bring adoptable dogs to Adam’s Gulch trailhead from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. And pet lovers are invited to meet the dogs and take them for a walk during that time.
- Are you a cat lover? Mountain Humane is looking for Bottle Baby Brigade foster parents to help nurture Bottle Baby kittens.
The kittens require feedings every two or three hours and potty care. Some also need medicine. To become part of the brigade, contact Kitten Foster Coordinator Kelsey Strahle at kstrahle@mountainhumane.org or call 208-806-2012.
