Alex Stoll of First Interstate Bank presented the Crisis Hotline with a check for $1,500 at Thursday evening’s BAH.
The Business After Hours is the first since the coronavirus pandemic shut down the valley in March 2020. Held in a small courtyard plaza outside the Ketchum bank, it featured Mexican delights from La Cabanita and watermelon margaritas.
Float winners in the Fourth of July Parade were announced and included Diesel Ward, Bob Wiederrick with his bucking Jeep, The Liberty Theatre Group and the Stuff the Bus group, which solicits Christmas toys for children in the valley.
Tammy Eaton Davis, executive director of The Crisis Hotline, said that the donation will be used for such things as training volunteers. The Crisis Hotline saw calls increase by 400 percent during the pandemic, with many calls exceeding 20 minutes.
The numbers have come down since, but there’s still a big need, she said.
