Columbia Jones and the Harpoons will kick off Ketch’em Alive’s 21st year of free music in Forest Service Park on Tuesday, June 28.
The music starts at 6:30 and runs until 9:30 p.m. at the park at First and Washington streets behind the Limelight Hotel.
Columbia Jones and the Harpoons, who hail from Salt Lake City, have been heavily influenced by the blues artists at the beginning of rock and roll They’ve layered it with the songwriting and musical influence of such artists as the Tedeski Trucks Band, and the Marcus King Band.

July 5—Crosby, Carlson & Goulay…this concert featuring local boys will take place at Atkinsons’ Park
July 12—Andrew Sheppard, a rock artist from Ketchum, who writes and plays soulful country and honest rock n’ roll
July 19—Brad Creel and the Reel Deal, a Portland Americana band whose “Reveeled” is a collection of funny acoustic folk tunes
July 26—a DJ to be announced
Aug. 2—Boot Juice, a seven-piece band that slings bluesy rock’n’roll and progressive bluegrass on a variety of electric and acoustical instruments
Aug. 9—Ethan Tucker, an Olympia, Wash., singer who performs soulful bluesy vocals and has played with Michael Franti and Spearhead
Aug. 16—To be announced.
