Muffy Davis, who has won fistfuls of Paralympic medals as a skier and hand cyclist, has long fielded questions about what it’s like to ski in a monoski—a bucket seat mounted on one ski.
She and Higher Ground, which offers adaptive ski lessons to skiers with all sorts of disabilities, finally got the chance to offer winter sports enthusiasts a glimpse of what it’s like skiing in a monoski, on one ski only and with partial or no vision when they hosted the Muffy Davis Cup at Sun Valley Resort’s Dollar Mountain.
