Why let the kids have all the fun!?

The Space is hosting a Forever Young-Adult Prom, a fundraising event to benefit the organization’s personalized tutoring and afterschool and summer academic support for Wood River Valley teens.

The event will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, April 25, in Whiskey’s upstairs event room and will feature a live DJ and photo booth.

There’ll be food, drinks and dancing through the decades.

Tickets are $125 and include dancing, two drink tickets, an appetizer buffet and photo booth. Sponsorship opportunities are also open for businesses and individuals. To purchase tickets or learn more, visit https://thespaceidaho.org/en/events/forever-young/.

The Space, which opened in January 2020, offers personalized academic experience, often through immersive experiences such as building a solar lab. In addition to helping students with math and literacy skills, it also offers enrichment field trips.

It has supported more than 250 teens over the past five years.

Among them, a seventh-grader named Alex.

“Math before was challenging, I felt bad because I thought I was going to fail the class,” said Alex. “I needed help with math, English, and science. After coming to The Space, I got better at my homework assignments.”
