The Wood River YMCA is kicking off Mahjong Tuesdays at the YMCA beginning today.

The games will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays at the Ketchum Y beginning today—Tuesday, June 11.

Mahjong is a game of tiles played by four players. It was developed in the 19th century in China and has since spread throughout the world. Players draw and discard tiles until they complete a legal hand using the 14th tile to form four sets and a pair.

All levels from beginner to expert are welcome. Those with tiles are encouraged to bring them, but it’s not necessary.
