Hopefully, the lambs at Chapter One Bookstore will be as adorable as this one, which pranced down Main Street in last year’s Trailing of the Sheep Parade.

STORY AND PHOTO BY KAREN BOSSICK

Cuddle and bottle feed an adorable baby lamb between 9 and 11 a.m. Monday, April 6, at Chapter One Bookstore in Ketchum.

The magic will happen right between the shelves as Wynette’s baby lambs make their debut at the bookstore.

The experience is free, but RSVPs are encouraged at Hello@ketchumboostore.com.

Lambs are among the symbols of Passover and Easter. The Jewish people sacrificed a lamb to atone for sins, the blood of a perfect unblemished lamb covering their sins.

Christians saw Jesus as the Lamb that was sacrificed on the cross to cover men’s sins so men could be presented unblemished before God.

Lambs weigh between 8 and 12 pounds at birth. They are toothless, playful and they grow quickly, weighing more than a hundred pounds within six months. Ewes typically give birth to one or two lambs in February or March.

Chapter One Bookstore is located at 340 Second St. E., in Ketchum.
