Learn about Aerial Exploration missions on Mars tonight when Boise State University Astronomy Professor offers a free presentation at Hailey Town Center West.


Jackson will highlight how scientists study the Martian atmosphere at 5:30 p.m. tonight—Thursday, June 23—in the presentation which is being hosted by Hailey Public Library, Boise State University and the Idaho Dark Sky Alliance.


Jackson studies exoplanet transit photometry and Martian dust devils. He works with students and post doctorates at the university, alongside the Bruneau Dunes Observatory to achieve his group's research efforts. Prior to his time at Boise State, Dr. Jackson was a postdoctoral fellow at Carnegie Science, and also worked at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
