Questad, Flood and Beck Continue Hot Streak in Alpine Ski Qualifier

Henry Questad, Corbin Flood and Cameron Beck climbed atop the podium at the David Wright Memorial U14 Intermountain Cup Qualifier in Park City, Utah, this past weekend.


Questad finished first in Boys Giant Slalom and Corbin Flood, second. Cameron Beck took fifth.


Members of the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation Alpine U14 IMD Team joined athletes across the Intermountain region for two giant slalom and one slalom race held Feb. 28 - March 2. It was the final U14 qualifying race series of the season.

Henry Questad occupied the top step on the podium and Corbin Flood the second step for the Boys first Giant Slalom.
 

“It was a beautiful, sunny weekend and the snow surface was the best we have seen in years!” said Charlotte Gourlay, SVSEF Alpine U14 IMD Team Head Coach. “The athletes really laid their hearts out on the line, and many of them will be qualifying for championship events. We can’t wait to see how the rest of the season plays out!”


Next up for the SVSEF U14 IMD Team is the Tri-Divisional Championships at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort March 18-21. Athletes who have qualified for this championship event will compete in Super G, giant slalom and slalom races.
