Wanted: Middle school students to perform in “Beetlejuice Jr.”

The Spot, which has nurtured the very successful Spot Young Company over the past several years, is expanding its outreach to include middle school students.

The new tuition-free Young Co. LITE! Is holding auditions Friday and Saturday, April 4-5, that will culminate in a fully staged production of the funny, campy musical based on the beloved motion picture.

Auditions will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday and from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at The Spot, 220 Lewis St. in Ketchum’s light industrial area. Stars-in-the-making may sign up at https://www.spotsunvalley.com/middleschool.

Rehearsals will be held during the month of May. The musical, about an unusual teenager who calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, will be staged May 21-24.

The musical contains music and lyrics by Tony Award-nominee Eddie Perfect and book by Tony Award-nominated Anthony King and Scott Brown.
