The sound of road construction is filling the streets around Ketchum. But Sun Valley Opera and Broadway is gearing up to “Fill the Seasons with Music!” with its SummerFest25.

Sun Valley Opera will host a Pop Diva concert featuring a singer-songwriter who scored big on NBC’s “The Voice” on Monday, June 30, at The Argyros in Ketchum.

And the organization will follow that up with a Bastille Day Celebration & Concert in July.

POP DIVA CONCERT

This concert starts at 6 p.m. Monday, June 30, at The Argyros. It kicks off with a party with hearty hors d’oeuvres, a cheese and sweets table and a full bar.

Cait Martin, of Atlanta, Ga., will then take the stage singing Whitney Houston and Gloria Gaynor covers, as well as selections from “Dream Girls,” “Chicago” and “Waitress.”

Martin sang for several years on cruise ships and in cabaret clubs before auditioning for NBC’s “The Voice” in 2023. Her breakout performance of Harry Styles’ “As It Was” captivated all four judges. She ended up choosing Coach Kelly Clarkson, who called her one of the best she’s ever heard on the show.

She has appeared in “Priscilla Queen of the Desert,” “A Night with Janis Joplin,” “All Shook Up” and “Austen’s Pride.”

Tickets are available for the Party & Concert with bistro seating for four. Or, you can purchase tickets for the concert only https://www.sunvalleyopera.com/

BASTILLE DAY CELEBRATION & CONCERT

Last year’s “All Things French!” concert on a lawn abetting a river in Golden Eagle was so successful that Sun Valley Opera & Broadway is bringing it back at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 14.

Guests will be ushered into a Parisian atmosphere as they enjoy a French cheese table, passed hors d’oeuvres and a selection of French wines.

Theodora Cottarel, an award-winning French-American singer, will top the evening off with a concert of French pop, musical theater and opera favorites.

Cottarel is known for her “electrifying” performances and her acting and storytelling talent with a repertoire that ranges from French cabaret and cross-over to classic lyric roles of opera stage and operetta.

This past season she won second prize in the Seattle Opera Guild’s competition, granting her the Artistic Development Award. This coming season she will debut the role of Elena in Gluck’s Paride ed Elena with PSCO. She also will perform in the “Rising Stars of Puget Sound” concert for the Seattle Opera Guild at Seattle Opera’s Tagney Jones Hall.

SIP & SHOP

J McLaughlin is supporting Sun Valley Opera and Broadway with a Sip & Shop from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at its dress shop at 520 East 4th St. in Ketchum. The shop will give 15 percent of sales from those purchasing a new summer outfit perfect for Bastille Day on that day.
