Indulge yourself in witty banter and laughter as Sun Valley Shakespeare in the Park presents “As You Like It.”

The comedy, believed to have been written in 1599, follows its heroine Rosalind as she flees persecution with her cousin Celia. Disguised as a young man and a peasant, they encounter a number of memorable characters in the forest of Arden where the melancholy traveler Jaques tells them that “all the world’s a stage.”

And, of course—since it’s William Shakespeare’s play—they undergo rollicking mishaps involving mistaken identities until they find true love.

The comedy is directed by Colton Pometta, who has directed several of the Shakespeare in the Park productions.

It kicks off Wednesday, July 30 and run through Aug. 9 in Ketchum’s Rotary Park across from the Wood River YMCA on Warm Springs Road. The shows start at 6 p.m.

Exact dates are Wednesday July 30; Friday through Sunday, Aug. 1-3; Tuesday, Aug. 6, and   Thursday through Saturday, Aug. 7-9

The comedy will feature Paul Rescigno, Aly Wepplo, Olemich Tugas, Patsy Wygle and others.

Theater goers should bring low back chairs, picnics and blankets. Drinks will be available at the site for a donation.

Tickets start at $15, available at https://www.laughingstocktheater.com/team-1.
