Want to teach Fido some new tricks? Like “Sit.” “Leave the bunny alone.” “Skip the food” (even if it is lying on the ground in plain sight). And, of course, the all-important “Come.”

Scotch Pines Dog Training can help you and your dog do all this—off leash.

Stephanie Hotstetter is bringing her training course teaching 101 Fundamentals to Hailey from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturdays, beginning Sept. 27. Classes will be held at Founders Field, the baseball field south of Wood River High School at 1596 Baldy View Drive.

Dogs will learn how to interact with people and other dogs, to walk alongside their human companion without a leash and more, using one part correction and two parts praise.

Graduates of the training can come back for refreshers free of charge for the remainder of their lives. Classes are offered twice a year—once in spring and once in fall.
